UNIT 5 - MATERIALS

PRESENTATION

If we look around us, we can see there are different objects made of different materials.

For example: What is a pencil made of? and a table? and our books?
Through this unit, children will learn about how to ask and answer about  materials:
WHAT IS THE PENCIL MADE OF?????? IT IS MADE OF WOOD.

Click  on the picture. You’ll see different objects, you have to classify them into GLASS, WOOD, METAL and RUBBER.
Materials also have some properties. Some of them are transparent, others are rigid, or waterproof….
Look at the picture:
Let’s investigate.
Click on each property to check if they are waterproof, (Is it waterproof?) transparent, (Is it transparent?) flexible, (Is it flexible?) strong(Is is strong?)…
